Booking Terms and conditions
Bali Family BJJ Retreat
9–12 September 2027 · Bali Dynasty Resort
Bookings and payments
Prices are in Australian dollars and cover the guests and inclusions listed in your selected package.
An A$500 deposit per family secures your booking. The deposit forms part of your total package price. Presale pricing applies to bookings secured by 31 January 2027.
Payment plans are available by arrangement. Your remaining balance is due 60 days before the retreat unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a payment is overdue, we will contact you and provide a reasonable opportunity to pay before cancelling your booking.
Room occupancy and children’s ages
Please provide accurate guest names and children’s ages at the time of the retreat. Accommodation is subject to the resort’s occupancy, bedding and age requirements.
If you are travelling with teenagers, a baby or a toddler, please contact us before booking to confirm the most suitable room. Any additional costs or changes will be explained and agreed with you before confirmation.
Children and supervision
All guests under 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian, or another accompanying adult authorised by their parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for arranging appropriate supervision of their children throughout the stay, including around pools, waterslides, balconies and during free time. Attending an adult training or yoga session does not automatically provide childcare for accompanying children.
Children’s and family BJJ sessions provide coached activities, not a general childcare service. A responsible accompanying adult must remain contactable and available to assist or collect their child. Any requirement to remain at the session will be explained before it begins.
The resort’s kids’ club and babysitting services operate separately under their own eligibility, supervision and booking rules. Babysitting is charged separately. These arrangements do not remove the responsibilities of the organiser, coaches or resort when providing their services.
Participation and safety
BJJ is a contact activity involving physical exertion, throws, holds and close contact. BJJ, yoga and recreational activities carry risks of injury, including potentially serious injury.
Participation is optional. Guests must follow coaching and safety instructions, train within their abilities and respect their training partners. Coaches may modify or restrict participation where reasonably necessary for safety, considering age, size, experience, health and behaviour.
Please tell us privately about any injury, medical condition, allergy or support need relevant to safe participation. Guests must not train while affected by alcohol or drugs, or with a potentially contagious illness or skin infection.
Arrival waiver and parental consent
Before participating in retreat-led BJJ or yoga sessions, each adult participant will be required to sign a participation waiver and risk acknowledgement on arrival.
A parent or legal guardian must also complete the required parental consent and participation documentation for each participating child under 18. Please contact us in advance if a child will be travelling without their parent or legal guardian.
The documents will be made available before travel so guests can review them. Guests who have not completed the required documentation cannot participate until it is completed. Nothing in these terms or the participation documents removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Travel and insurance
Guests are responsible for their flights, passports, visas and entry requirements.
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, overseas medical treatment and evacuation. Check specifically that your policy covers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and any other activities you intend to undertake.
Return airport transfers are included as described in your package. Flight details must be provided by the deadline communicated before the retreat.
Cancellations and booking transfers
Please notify us in writing if you need to cancel.
The A$500 deposit is generally non-refundable for a change-of-mind cancellation, subject to applicable consumer law. Any further cancellation charge will reflect reasonable, unrecoverable costs and losses associated with your booking, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. We will explain any amount retained or payable.
You may request to transfer your booking to another suitable family, subject to room capacity, guest eligibility and supplier requirements. Any unavoidable supplier charges will be disclosed before you proceed. The original booking remains your responsibility until the transfer is confirmed in writing.
Changes or cancellation by us
Session times and activities may change to accommodate resort schedules, weather, safety or operational needs.
We will notify you promptly of any significant change to the retreat. If we cancel the retreat, you will be offered a refund of payments made to us for the cancelled package. Any alternative retreat or credit will be optional.
Rights relating to significant changes, disruptions outside our control and separately booked travel will be assessed under applicable law. These terms do not exclude any remedies you may be entitled to.
Package inclusions and personal expenses
Your booking includes the accommodation, breakfast, transfers and retreat activities specified in your package. Flights, other meals, babysitting, spa treatments, additional nights and separately charged activities are excluded unless expressly included in writing.
Choosing not to attend an available session does not reduce the package price.
Consumer rights
These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.
