Originally from Santos, Brazil, our Fiji 2026 coach, Eduardo Novaes has over 25 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience and is a 4-time São Paulo State Champion.
After teaching throughout Brazil, Europe and Asia—including several years at Singapore's renowned Evolve MMA alongside world-class athletes such as Teco Shinzato, Alex Silva and Michelle Nicolini—Eduardo now calls Fiji home.
His teaching is known for its technical precision, calm approach and attention to detail. Rather than overwhelming students with endless techniques, he focuses on helping you better understand timing, control and efficiency so you leave with skills that genuinely improve your jiu-jitsu.
Throughout the retreat, each session builds on the last, giving you time to absorb the concepts, ask questions, and put everything into practice before moving on.

A week in fiji
No two days are exactly the same. The schedule stays flexible to make the most of the surf, the weather, and the energy of the group, while ensuring plenty of quality training and time to recover.
A typical day might look like:
○ Optional morning surf or yoga
○ Group breakfast
○ Morning BJJ session — technical instruction and live training
○ Long lunch and free time to relax or explore
○ Afternoon BJJ session or optional surf
○ Mobility, yoga or recovery session
○ Dinner with the group

We partnered with Alchemical who are global pioneers in hemp-based rash-guards. Their mission is simple: reduce reliance on polyester and offer a cleaner alternative for training.
